Initial situation
In horticulture and plant cultivation, there is a growing demand for plastic-free, compostable planting solutions that both protect the environment and promote healthy plant growth. The aim was to develop a plant pot that is petroleum-free, biodegradable and, at the same time, plant-friendly.

Material solution
The Plenta plant pot is made from an ARBOBLEND® material based on hemp fibres and cellulose. This material is compostable and biodegrades completely in the soil within one to two years.

The pot is designed so that it can be planted along with the plant. The plant roots can grow through it without forming twisted roots, which promotes healthy root growth and makes subsequent planting easier.
