ARBOFILL® family
Aesthetic, functional and cost-effective compounds made from renewable raw materials
such as wood fibres, hemp, cork, sisal or other natural materials and plastics, or mass-balanced ISCC-certified plastics. ARBOFILL® combines sustainability, natural aesthetics and economic efficiency, offering cost-effective, resource-saving and long-proven solutions for your innovative mass-production applications.
Sustainable alternative
All TECNARO bioplastics are completely free from PFAS and BPA, making them particularly environmentally friendly and safe for health. Furthermore, compared to plastics made from fossil-based raw materials, our materials boast a significantly better carbon footprint – in many cases, they even achieve a negative carbon footprint (cradle-to-gate). As such, our formulations actively contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gases and offer a sustainable alternative for a wide range of applications. All TECNARO bioplastic granules are recyclable.

Bio-based does not automatically mean biodegradable
Good to know
A plastic may be made from plant-based raw materials yet still have a chemical structure that prevents it from breaking down in the environment. Similarly, a plastic made from fossil-based raw materials can be biodegradable.
Bio-based
Bioplastics consist partly or entirely of renewable raw materials such as wood (lignin, cellulose), potatoes, maize (starch) and sugar cane. These plants absorb CO₂ from the atmosphere, which potentially makes the bioplastic’s life cycle climate-neutral.
Biodegradable
Biodegradable plastics can be broken down by microorganisms, causing them to decompose into natural substances such as water and CO₂. However, this process depends on environmental conditions.
